About Us

We are the National Video Game Orchestra of Wales!

Our ensemble specialises in performing orchestral video game music to a professional standard on the public stage.
Our aim is to bring awareness to the importance of video game music and hold it to the same esteem as film music. The ensemble was founded in 2018 (previously known as the Royal Welsh Video Game Orchestra) by Carwyn Thomas and Peter Brook, two current postgraduate students of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with this initiative in mind, putting together the premiere concert for the orchestra in October 2018.
After an incredibly successful concert, the orchestra began to expand, taking on new members for the 2019 season. We hope that you’ll keep on this journey with us as we explore even more music as an ensemble!
